Good track from Busdriver’s September 9 release, Perfect Hair, on Big Dada. If the rest of the album has him rhyming at this capacity and better, I’ll be stoked to hear it. It pains me that he didn’t exemplify this level in his Armand Hammer feature on “New Museum,” for it would have been the perfect arena for such. He delivers a good first verse, with Aesop taking the pinnacle moment in terms of lyricism. That’s not surprising. But what both fail to capture in shock value is made up for by the appearance of Mr. Danny Brown. Interesting third verse he delivers. Not for the bars (some of which weren’t amazing), but for the way in which he adds a shamanistic mind twist to the song. Everyone ego dies sometime. Let these men do their thing in their coffins.
